EVAC: helicopter rescue game (full source code)

EVAC is a complete, finished helicopter rescue game for the browser, sold as full source code.

Fly out across three theatres (desert, jungle and winter), blast the barracks open and set down beside the door, never on it. Load the hostages and get them home through jets, tanks, flak and homing air mines. The tension isn't in the shooting; it's in the landing.

WHAT'S IN THE ZIP

- The full source of a finished campaign: about 37,000 lines of plain JavaScript (ES modules), with no build step needed to run it.

- Built on three.js (MIT). Every model, effect, sky and sound is made in code, so there are no third-party art or audio files and no licence surprises.

- A cinematic title screen, a side-on flight model with a camera-facing attack posture, and two targeting planes.

- Cannon, Hydra rockets and an AGM-114, unguided or locked.

- Hostages that board and must be landed beside, five mission types and three difficulty tempos.

- Scoring, a debrief and saved progress.

- Keyboard and touch controls. It installs as a PWA.

- Automated Puppeteer test tools for flight, missions, rescue, touch, audio and pacing.

- A README with setup and build instructions, and a design brief.

HOW IT WAS MADE

EVAC was vibe-coded: one person wrote the brief, set the rules and played every build, and AI coding agents wrote the code. Every round was checked by a critic and played by a human before it was kept. The code is real, readable and tested, and you can see exactly how a vibe-coded game holds together.

REQUIREMENTS

Node.js 18 or later. Run npm install, then npm run serve, and open http://localhost:8137. npm run build makes a static site you can host anywhere.

You may use, modify and publish games built from this code, including commercially. You may not resell or redistribute the source code itself, or publish it unchanged as EVAC. See LICENSE in the zip.
